1.按工作電源種類劃分:可分為直流電機和交流電機。

1)直流電動機按結構及工作原理可劃分:無刷直流電動機和有刷直流電動機。

有刷直流電動機可劃分:永磁直流電動機和電磁直流電動機。

電磁直流電動機劃分:串勵直流電動機、並勵直流電動機、他勵直流電動機和複勵直流電動機。

永磁直流電動機劃分:稀土永磁直流電動機、鐵氧體永磁直流電動機和鋁鎳鈷永磁直流電動機。

2)其中交流電機還可劃分:單相電機和三相電機。

2.按結構和工作原理可劃分:可分為直流電動機、異步電動機、同步電動機。

1)同步電機可劃分:永磁同步電動機、磁阻同步電動機和磁滯同步電動機。

2)異步電機可劃分:感應電動機和交流換向器電動機。

感應電動機可劃分:三相異步電動機、單相異步電動機和罩極異步電動機等。

交流換向器電動機可劃分:單相串勵電動機、交直流兩用電動機和推斥電動機。

3.按起動與運行方式可劃分:電容起動式單相異步電動機、電容運轉式單相異步電動機、電容起動運轉式單相異步電動機和分相式單相異步電動機。

4.按用途可劃分:驅動用電動機和控製用電動機。

1)驅動用電動機可劃分:電動工具(包括鑽孔、拋光、磨光、開槽、切割、擴孔等工具)用電動機、家電(包括洗衣機、電風扇、電冰箱、空調器、錄音機、錄像機、影碟機、吸塵器、照相機、電吹風、電動剃須刀等)用電動機及其他通用小型機械設備(包括各種小型機床、小型機械、醫療器械、電子儀器等)用電動機。

2)控製用電動機又劃分:步進電動機和伺服電動機等。

5.按轉子的結構可劃分:籠型感應電動機(舊標準稱為鼠籠型異步電動機)和繞線轉子感應電動機(舊標準稱為繞線型異步電動機)。

6.按運轉速度可劃分:高速電動機、低速電動機、恒速電動機、調速電動機。低速電動機又分為齒輪減速電動機、電磁減速電動機、力矩電動機和爪極同步電動機等。

調速電動機除可分為有級恒速電動機、無級恒速電動機、有級變速電動機和無級變速電動機外,還可分為電磁調速電動機、直流調速電動機、PWM變頻調速電動機和開關磁阻調速電動機。

異步電動機的轉子轉速總是略低於旋轉磁場的同步轉速。

同步電動機的轉子轉速與負載大小無關而始終保持為同步轉速。

3. According to the starting and operation mode, it can be divided into capacitor-starting single-phase asynchronous motor, capacitor-running single-phase asynchronous motor, capacitor-starting single-phase asynchronous motor and split-phase single-phase asynchronous motor.

4. It can be divided into driving motor and controlling motor.

1) Driving motors can be divided into electric motors for electric tools (including drilling, polishing, polishing, slotting, cutting, reaming, etc.), electric motors for household appliances (including washing machines, fans, refrigerators, air conditioners, tape recorders, video recorders, vacuum cleaners, cameras, hair dryers, electric shavers, etc.) and other general small mechanical equipment (including various types). Speed-regulating motor can be divided into stepless constant speed motor, stepless constant speed motor, stepless variable speed motor and stepless variable speed motor. It can also be divided into electromagnetic speed-regulating motor, direct current speed-regulating motor, PWM frequency conversion speed-regulating motor and switched reluctance speed-regulating motor.

The rotor speed of asynchronous motor is always slightly lower than the synchronous speed of rotating magnetic field.

The rotor speed of synchronous motor is not related to the load size, but always keeps the synchronous speed.
